Exploring AI, blockchain, and emerging technology — and translating what it all means for real people and real businesses.
Not a resume. Not a pitch. Just an honest account of who I am, what I've learned, and why I believe now is the most important time to pay attention.
There was a moment in college when something shifted. The world of knowledge — real, structured, deep knowledge — opened up in a way it hadn't before. That moment never left me. Decades later, I'm still chasing it, still taking courses, staying up late catching up on the latest news, still turning over difficult ideas until they make sense.
I've spent over thirty years working inside and around financial systems — public accounting, corporate controllership, small business ownership, and long-running contract work supporting internal audit and SOX compliance for Fortune 500 and mid-cap companies. I've seen the inside of complex organizations. I've built businesses from scratch. I've raised capital, managed teams, written business plans, discovered fraud, seen companies crash and go bankrupt from the inside, and helped companies clean up their financial stories.
That's what drew me in. Not as a technology insider, but as someone with decades of experience asking the only questions that actually matter: Does this actually work? What's the real cost? And is it worth your time? I experienced the dot.com crash so I know the hype doesn't always pan out (it hurt, I experienced loss).
I've completed Coursera courses in Python programming (University of Michigan) and Agentic AI systems (Vanderbilt University), and hold the AICPA Blockchain Fundamentals certificate. I've seen Blockchain firsthand since the beginning of 2018 (and yes, I once paid $45,000 for an NFT that is worth approximately $1,000 now...but I'm hopeful...). I'm learning these tools at depth, with the same structured rigor I've applied throughout my career.
That learning has a home: TruthLedger AI is the educational brand where I publish content on AI, blockchain, and emerging technology — written for curious individuals and small business owners, not computer scientists.
This site is where I think out loud. My desire is to share my intellectual energy, understanding, and output with others. This is what I'm building with it.
Diligence Statement: I use AI tools in creating content for this site. Everything published reflects my own research, review, and judgment. I take personal responsibility for accuracy and stand behind what I publish.
Where the deeper content lives — long-form articles, guides, and honest analysis at the intersection of accounting and emerging technology.
Areas I'm actively studying, building with, and writing about. No hype — just honest engagement with technologies that matter. I'm on a journey and I invite you to join me!
Context isn't a credential. But it shapes how you ask questions — and I've spent a long time asking hard ones inside complex systems.
Long-form writing on AI, blockchain, and emerging technology — for curious people, not computer scientists. Full articles published on Substack.
If something here resonated — if you're a small business owner trying to understand where technology is heading, or someone who wants to think through the implications honestly — I'd enjoy the conversation. I'm not selling anything. I'm just curious, and I find that curiosity is contagious.
